Saurav Ganguly claims daughter Sana’s post “not true”, social media users say she has right to be political

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Saurav Ganguly on Wednesday night took to Twitter to claim that a reported Instagram post by his daughter Sana, was “not true”. Ganguly wrote on Twitter: “Please keep Sana out of all this issues… this post is not true.. she is too young a girl to know about anything in politics.”

Sana Ganguly, his daughter had reportedly written on Instagram (a post that has now been deleted) quoting Khushwant Singh’s “The End of India”. This is what her reported Instastory was:

Ganguly coming into his daughter’s “defence” has been criticised by a number of people on social media. Sana Ganguly is of voting age, they said, and has a valid, verified social media account, and she is free to voice her opinion.
