CPI-M general secretary Sitaram Yechury said on Sunday that the BJP government is misusing the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and using it as a puppet to serve its own political agenda.
He lashed out against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) saying that it is shielding its people and protecting those who are funding the government even if they are robbing the country. He said this after the CBI officer probing the Chanda Kochar case was transferred with some officials claiming he was suspected of leaking information.
Yechury alleged that “those who filed the chargesheet against officials of ICICI Bank were transferred. This is nothing but a brazen misuse of the constitutional authorities.”
