Actor Alok Nath, who was accused of rape by producer-writer Vinta Nanda in October last year, will play a judge in a film on #Metoo. The film’s title is #Mein Bhi (#Metoo in Hindi), it was reported by Mumbai Mirror.
It was reported that the character of Alok Nath in the film takes a strong stand against sexual harassment. Towards the end of the film, Alok Nath delivers a long speech criticising sexual harassment.
Mumbai Police in November last year filed an FIR (First Information Report) against actor Alok Nath on allegations of rape by Vinta Nanda. Nath was initially accused of sexual harassment and rape by Nanda in an emotionally charged #Metoo post on Facebook. Later, actor Navneet Nishant confirmed Nanda’s allegations made in the Facebook narrative, in which she said she had ended years of harassment by slapping the actor (thought to be Alok Nath). He was also accused of sexual misconduct by actors Sandhya Mridul as well as by other women.
