Bengaluru woman with hearing disabilities completes 8,300km bike ride

A 33-year-old woman from Bengaluru, Archana Timmaraju, defeated all odds to complete a 8,300km-bike journey from the Karnataka capital to Ladakh.

Timmaraju, born with 40 per cent hearing ability, started her journey riding on Royal Enfield on April 29 this year along with her friend Daniel Sundaram to inspire others to start riding bikes.She finished the journey on May 29.

The art teacher at a Bengaluru school also runs a company — Silent Expedition — that aims to inspire bikers, especially those with disabilities.
