The country reported 10,064 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, taking the overall tally to 1,05,81,837. This is the lowest daily count of COVID-19 in seven months. Also, the daily death count is the lowest in about eight months. The toll rose by 137 to 1,52,556. India’s active cases is 2,00,528, while the number of recoveries reached 1,02,28,753.

Lakshadweep Islands meanwhile, reported its first COVID-19 case, nearly a year after the outbreak of the disease in India.
