India records less than 1,000 new COVID cases for the first time since April 2020

India has recorded less than 1,000 new COVID-19 cases for the first time since April 2020. The exact gap is 715 days, with the tally rising to 4,30,29,044. The infection count has come down below 13,000 according to the Union Health Ministry data.

The number of active cases is the lowest in 714 days. There have been 13 deaths, making the death count 5,21,358. The country had recorded COVID-19 cases below 1,000 for the first time since April 18, 2020, when 991 cases were reported. Altogether 79.10 crore tests have been done so far, including 3,14,823 in the past one day.
