The apex court had also emphasised that a prompt, immediate and effective operation is required to rescue those trapped inside. The miners have been missing since December 13 in a 320-ft deep illegal “rat-hole” mine.

The apex court has termed the situation as ‘very serious’. The government has been asked to inform the court about the rescue operations developments by tomorrow (Friday) saying that “for the trapped people, every second counts.”
