The results of ICSE and ISC examination were announced this afternoon on the official site of the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISE). Nearly two lakh students appeared for the examinations from all over the country. CISE officials said that the success rate is 98.51% for class 10 ICSE examination.
Swayam Das from Navi Mumbai topped the class 10 ICSE examination, and Koushiki Dasgupta Chaudhuri of St Xavier’s Institution, Panihati topped the ISC class 12 examination.
The pass rate in ISC class 12 has come down from 96.47 per cent last year to 96.21 per cent this year.
According to CISCE authorities, among all the different regions, the southern region of the country has excelled this year with 99.69 per cent pass rate in ICSE. In the western region the percentage is 98.38% and in the northern region it was 95.97 per cent. The eastern region figures last in this category, with the passing percentage at 95.85 per cent.
