Trinamool MP Saugata Roy raises concern about Kashmir situation, Farooq Abdullah says need to talk to “other neighbour country”

Trinamool Congress MP Saugata Roy on Saturday said in the Lok Sabha that the situation in Jammu and Kashmir is a cause of concern. He also demanded that all 230 political leaders who are under detention, be released.

Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir National Conference president Farooq Abdullah said that India should start talks with Pakistan to resolve problems. “Like we are talking to China to resolve issues, similarly, we need to hold talks with other neighbour country as well. People are dying every day, skirmishes are on the rise… we need to find solutions,” he said.

He said that the Union Territory should have the same rights as the rest of the country. “No progress is taking place in Jammu and Kashmir,” Abdullah said in the Parliament. “There is no access to 4G facility, how will they grow in the time when the rest of the country has access to all the facilities on the internet?” he asked.
