Vaccination for coronavirus can be taken three months after recovery, the Centre has said today. The second dose of COVID-19 vaccine should be delayed by three months for anyone who contracts the virus after the first dose.
The rules are part of the recommendations by NEGVAC – the National Expert Group on Vaccine Administration for COVID-19 led by NITI Aayog member Dr VK Paul – which have been accepted by the Union Health Ministry.
Till now, there has been no fixed gap recommended by the Centre for taking a vaccine in such situations. Vaccination has also been recommended for lactating women.
