WhatsApp launches group audio call for iPhone and Click to chat for Android

Things will work even without saving contacts

WhatsApp launches group audio call for iPhone and Click to chat for Android

WhatsApp rolled out several new features that include enabling group audio calls option for iPhone and ‘Click to Chat’ options for Android phones.

The ‘Click to Chat’ option will enable users to send message to any person without saving the contact. For this, users have to create a link to start a conversation with the unsaved contact.

Also, WhatsApp’s parent company Facebook enabled users to share Facebook link directly through ‘Send to WhatsApp’ option. Currently, only some beta users of the Facebook app can benefit from this new feature.

The group audio call will have same features such as individual audio call. However, WhatsApp did not confirm the number of participants in group audio calling and currently, it is restricted to few users.

Currently, iPhone users with iOS 2.18.60 can use this feature and it will be shortly available on other versions too.

Earlier, WhatsApp enabled a media visibility feature for the Android users to hide or show media content in the gallery along with a new contact shortcut option that would help users to add a new contact directly through the app.
