Kolkata Police on Saturday arrested a man who was seen in a viral video doing an indecent act in a public bus.
The police started a case on the basis of the video the woman had posted on the Kolkata Police’s Facebook page. The police started to hunt down the man, who was eventually arrested by officials of the Shyampukur police station. The man, Asit Rai, a hawker, is a resident of Baidyabati area.
The woman had written on the Facebook post that this happened while she was travelling in north Kolkata’s Hedua around noon, and no one objected. When she told the bus conductor about it, he told her that he could do nothing about it. Even when she screamed and protested, telling people that he was misbehaving, no one said anything.

The Kolkata Police authorities have assured firm action against Rai.
