ভবানীপুর নয়, নন্দীগ্রাম বিধানসভা কেন্দ্রের প্রার্থী এবার মমতা ব্যানার্জি। দৃঢ় আন্দোলন আর বহু লড়াইয়ের পর নিজের দলকে ক্ষমতায় এনেছিলেন তিনি। আজ ‘নন্দীগ্রাম দিবস’ এ সেই আন্দোলনের কথা স্মরণ করেই টুইট করলেন মমতা ব্যানার্জি।
আজ ‘নন্দীগ্রাম দিবস’। ২০০৭ এর ঘটনা স্মৃতিচারণ করে মমতা ব্যানার্জি টুইটারে লিখলেন, “On this day, in 2007, innocent villagers were killed in firing at #Nandigram. Many bodies could not be found. It was a dark chapter in the history of the State. Heartfelt tribute to all those who lost their lives.” অর্থাৎ ২০০৭ সালের এই দিনটিতে নন্দীগ্রামের বহু নিরপরাধ মানুষ নিহত হয়েছিল। অনেক দেহ খুঁজে পাওয়া যায়নি। ইতিহাসের পাতায় আজকের দিনটি কালো অধ্যায়ের হয়ে থাকবে। নন্দীগ্রামে নিহতদের প্রতি আমার শ্রদ্ধা জানাই।

এবারের বিধানসভা নির্বাচন অন্য মাত্রা পেতে চলেছে নন্দীগ্রামকে ঘিরে। তৃণমূলের প্রার্থী হয়ে লড়বেন মমতা ব্যানার্জি। অন্যদিকে বিজেপির প্রার্থী শুভেন্দু অধিকারী থাকবেন প্রতিপক্ষ হিসেবে। প্রতিবছর ১৪ মার্চ কৃষক দিবস হিসেবে পালন করা হয় পশ্চিমবঙ্গে। টুইট করে মমতা আরও লেখেন, নন্দীগ্রামের ভূমিতে আন্দোলন করে যারা প্রয়াত হয়েছেন। তাদের কথা স্মরণ করে ১৪ মার্চ কৃষক দিবস পালন করি। সেই দিনই দেওয়া হয় ‘কৃষকরত্ন সম্মান’।

মমতা ব্যানার্জি জানিয়েছেন, এবার নন্দীগ্রামের প্রার্থী হয়ে গর্ব বোধ করছেন তিনি। বাংলায় বিরোধী শক্তির বিপরীতে দাঁড়িয়ে শহীদ পরিবারের সদস্যদের সঙ্গে কাঁধে কাঁধ মিলিয়ে লড়াইয়ের সুযোগ পেয়ে গর্বিত তিনি।
